InfraLynx Documentation

InfraLynx documentation is the program-wide source of truth for product behavior, engineering standards, operational guidance, architecture decisions, and release communication.

Documentation Structure Overview

InfraLynx documentation is organized to support multiple audiences without mixing decision records, implementation guidance, and operational procedures in the same place.

  • Product explains what InfraLynx is, who it serves, and how the platform is expected to evolve.
  • Engineering captures architecture, module boundaries, database compatibility strategy, and development conventions.
  • Operations documents deployment, environment topology, runbooks, and support expectations.
  • API provides contract-focused guidance for internal and external integrations.
  • Releases collects version-aware release notes and upgrade messaging.
  • ADR records architectural decisions in a stable, reviewable format.
  • Design documents brand, interface, and UX constraints that shape the product experience.

Program Rules

  • Every architectural decision requires an ADR.
  • Every feature or operational change must update the relevant documentation.
  • Documentation should be version-aware and written for a clear audience.
  • Product, engineering, and operations content should remain distinct to reduce ambiguity.

Current Phase

This documentation system is being established before platform implementation so the program can scale with consistent guidance, review quality, and long-term maintainability.
